Er THCA lovligt i Danmark? – Hvad siger reglerne?

An informative guide on legislation and limits

Interest in THCA products is growing in Denmark, and many ask us: “Is THCA legal?”
The short answer is: Yes

In this blog post, we explain what the rules say and how we at GreenWeed work to comply with them. We do not make legal promises – but we want to give you, as a customer, a clear overview.

What is THCA?

THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is an acid naturally found in raw hemp and cannabis plants. It is not intoxicating in its original form and is chemically different from the prohibited substance THC.

However: THCA can be converted to THC if heated (a process called decarboxylation), and therefore there are special rules for content and use.

What do Danish regulations say?

In Denmark, it is illegal to sell products containing intoxicating substances, including THC.
However, products containing THCA can be legal, as long as:

  • The total THC content does not exceed 0.2%
  • The product is not intended for intoxication or euphoric use
  • No health claims or medical claims are advertised

THCA in its raw and unheated form is not considered intoxicating, and is therefore deemed legal, provided the product complies with the above conditions.

Our approach at Greenweed.dk

At GreenWeed, we take regulations and responsibility seriously. Therefore:

  • We have all products tested by independent laboratories
  • We ensure that the THC content is below 0.2%
  • We use no synthetic cannabinoids
  • We only sell products for aesthetic, collecting, or aromatic use

We do not market our products as intoxicants – and do not encourage use that may be contrary to legislation.

Briefly summarized

  • THCA is not THC, and it is not intoxicating in itself - raw form
  • It can be legal, as long as the product does not exceed THC limits
  • We comply with all Danish requirements and only deliver documented, tested goods
